Our client is a leading international higher education institution in Dhaka and part of a well-established educational organisation. It delivers fully accredited international programmes in partnership with internationally recognised universities.
The institution offers globally recognised undergraduate, full degree and pathway programmes linked to universities in the UK, Australia and Malaysia.
The successful Assistant Professor will teach across IT and Computing courses and help lead and develop programmes delivered through international university partnerships.
Responsibilities include delivering lectures, workshops and tutorials, designing and assessing learning, supporting international curriculum alignment, and contributing to the wider higher education environment. Opportunities are also available for research, consultancy, professional practice and industry collaboration.

Required qualifications

  • PhD in Information Technology, Computing or a closely related field
  • Relevant Master’s and/or undergraduate degree, or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 5–7 years’ relevant teaching experience, either post-PhD or through a suitable combination of academic experience
  • Demonstrable university-level teaching experience in relevant IT, Computing or related subject areas
  • A valid teaching licence, such as PGCE, QTS or a recognised US teaching licence

Essential skills

  • Strong subject knowledge and professional expertise in IT, Computing or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging lectures, workshops and tutorials at university level
  • Excellent understanding of effective assessment design and formative assessment practices
  • Familiarity with international summative assessment standards
  • Ability to establish positive and productive relationships with students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, industry partners and other stakeholders
  • Experience with academic administration, such as participation in academic committees or working as a programme or subject leader
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and alignment across international academic frameworks
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • Evidence of research, publications, conference presentations, consultancy or industry engagement would be advantageous
