About the School:
Our client is an established and successful IB World School in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a culturally diverse international community and a reputation for academic quality. The Secondary School (Grades 6-12) offers the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), and is authorised and accredited by the IBO, CIS and NEASC.
Student wellbeing is central to the school’s culture, supported by a dedicated Student Services team, an after-school activities programme and out-of-school visits that extend learning beyond the classroom. The school also values strong partnerships with parents.
The Secondary School Principal sits on the school’s Leadership Team alongside the Primary School Principal and the Director, and leads the day-to-day running of the Secondary School. You will:
- Oversee curriculum, assessment and the wider learning environment
- Lead, appraise and develop faculty and staff, including taking part in international recruitment fairs
- Champion students and build strong, positive relationships with parents and the wider community
- Deputise for the Director when required
This is a campus-based role for a leader ready to develop, communicate and deliver a fresh vision for the Secondary School.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s-level qualification in Educational Leadership
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a senior school leadership position as Principal
- Experience of curriculum leadership in both the IB DP and MYP, or in the DP alone
- A successful track record as an IB educator and school administrator
Essential Skills
- A proven ability, understanding and commitment to school improvement and change management
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- The ability to inspire and support staff, advocate for students, and earn the trust and loyalty of staff and parents
- A high degree of sensitivity, flexibility and resourcefulness in a culturally diverse school
- Mother-tongue fluency in English
- A strong commitment to student and staff wellbeing
