About the school
This is a prestigious, forward-thinking bilingual school located in one of Mexico City’s most desirable neighbourhoods — Lomas de Chapultepec. The school operates as a genuinely innovative educational environment, offering a rich and carefully curated curriculum that draws on the English and Welsh National Curriculum, US Common Core, and the International Baccalaureate. The school gained IB Diploma Programme authorisation in 2020 and is deeply committed to the highest standards of academic rigour and professional practice.
The school teaches approximately 80% of its classes in English and 20% in Spanish, with students in the middle and high school also having the option to study Mandarin and French as third languages. Class sizes are purposefully small — just 16 students — allowing teachers to engage deeply with both the curriculum and individual learners in a way that is rare in international education.
The Science Department is innovative and ambitious, delivering hands-on lab experiences designed to promote a growth mindset, higher-level thinking skills, and a genuine love of discovery. Teachers are encouraged to be creative, digitally literate and collaborative, and the faculty is an international community of professionals drawn from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico and beyond. The school places a strong emphasis on ongoing professional development and good work-life balance.
Mexico City is one of the great cities of the world — vast, vibrant, and endlessly surprising. Lomas de Chapultepec, where the school is located, is one of the most prestigious and well-connected residential areas of the city, close to the iconic Bosque de Chapultepec park, world-class museums, fine dining and the best of what the city has to offer.
Mexico City has an extraordinary cultural life — from ancient Aztec ruins and Diego Rivera murals to a thriving contemporary arts scene, outstanding restaurants and a social calendar that never stops. The cost of living is very affordable by international standards, the climate is famously pleasant year-round (the city sits at altitude, keeping temperatures mild), and the international community in the city is well established and welcoming. For teachers looking for an adventure that combines professional fulfilment with an exceptional quality of life, Mexico City rarely disappoints.
