About the school
Imagine joining a school while it is still writing its story. Our client is an international school in Sharjah that is growing year by year, with a community small enough for every student to be known and every teacher to be heard. Colleagues work closely across subjects, and staff have a genuine voice in how the school develops. It is one of the things teachers value most about working in a school at this stage.
The school’s curriculum builds through the middle years and into the IB Diploma Programme. In this role you would teach Humanities in Grades 7 to 9 and Business Studies in Grade 10, giving students the foundations of inquiry, analysis and critical thinking before they move into DP Business Management. You would be shaping that pathway from the start and watching students flourish as they progress through it.
The school is also committed to developing its own people. Because it is growing, opportunities to lead are real. Head of department roles are possibilities for the right candidate, and for someone with DP experience, the DP Coordinator role in 2028-29 could be within reach. Whether you are an experienced IB teacher or a strong classroom practitioner with a real interest in growing into the Diploma Programme, this is a place where ambition is noticed and supported.

About Sharjah
Sharjah is widely regarded as the cultural heart of the UAE. It has been recognised internationally for its commitment to arts, heritage and learning, and its calendar is full of exhibitions, festivals and performances. The Heritage Area and the Arts Area, with their beautifully restored buildings and galleries, give the city a character all its own, and the annual Sharjah International Book Fair is one of the largest in the world. Museums, waterfront promenades, the lagoon and family attractions mean there is always something to explore at the weekend.
Life here moves at a relaxed, family-friendly pace, with Dubai close enough for a day out, a concert or dinner with friends. Further afield, the desert landscapes of the interior and the beaches and mountains of the east coast, including Khor Fakkan and Kalba, are a short drive away, which makes Sharjah a great base for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Your salary and accommodation allowance go further here too.
Sharjah is a warm and welcoming emirate with a strong sense of community and heritage. Many teachers find it wonderful for families and a perfect fit for those who value a calm, community-focused lifestyle.
