Required Qualifications:

  • A valid teaching license or a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role within the English department
  • Native English speaker
  • UAE experience is preferred but not essential

Essential Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English
  • Ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing students for GCSEs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Experience in leading and mentoring other teachers within the department
  • Ability to inspire students and create engaging, innovative lessons
  • A passion for literature, language, and teaching English
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
