What Sort of Teachers Might Thrive Here
This school will suit educators who are energised by innovation and genuinely enjoy being part of a collaborative, forward-thinking staff community. The ideal candidate will be a committed professional who wants to raise standards in line with the school’s vision, mission, and values, while continuously refining their craft through current pedagogical thinking. Teachers who thrive here tend to be curious lifelong learners, keen to contribute actively to the school’s Professional Learning Community, comfortable using digital tools to enrich learning, and just as happy working independently as they are collaborating across the wider school.
Snapshot of the City
Brasília is Brazil’s purpose-built capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its sweeping modernist architecture and bold urban design by Oscar Niemeyer and Lúcio Costa. As the seat of Brazil’s government and a major diplomatic hub, the city has a genuinely international feel, home to embassies, cultural institutions, and a thriving expatriate community. Life here is centred around Lake Paranoá, offering waterside living, watersports, and outdoor leisure, while the city’s green spaces, museums, and vibrant food scene make it an easy place to put down roots. With a warm climate, excellent connectivity, and a relaxed pace of life compared to Brazil’s larger cities, Brasília offers a high quality of life for teachers and their families.
