Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, PGCE, or equivalent
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent professional certification
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly welcomed to apply
- Experience delivering the British National Curriculum at KS1 is highly desirable
Essential Skills:
To succeed in this role, you will be a passionate and dedicated primary practitioner who places the child at the centre of everything you do. You will have a strong understanding of the British National Curriculum across KS1, with the ability to deliver engaging, well structured lessons that meet the needs of every learner in your classroom. Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues alike are essential, as is the ability to plan creatively, assess meaningfully, and use data to drive pupil progress. You will be adaptable, reflective, and genuinely enthusiastic about the difference that high quality primary education makes to a child’s long term development and life chances. Experience working in an international or multicultural setting is an advantage, though not essential.
Safeguarding Skills and Qualities Required for International Teachers:
The welfare and safety of children is the highest priority in this role and within this school community. All applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including an understanding of their responsibilities under relevant frameworks and policies. You will be expected to maintain professional boundaries at all times, respond appropriately to concerns, and contribute actively to a culture of safety and vigilance. Experience working within a safer recruitment environment and familiarity with international child protection frameworks will be viewed favourably. All successful candidates will be subject to thorough background checks prior to appointment.
