Required Qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or a US teaching licence.
- Significant experience teaching Music and Drama to GCSE level within a British curriculum school.
- Fluent English speaker with an IELTS score of 7.0 or above where applicable.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience teaching Music and Drama within the English National Curriculum.
- Experience of teaching IGCSE Music and Drama.
- Previous middle leadership experience or the readiness to step into a Head of Department position.
- Outstanding classroom practice and excellent subject knowledge.
- Demonstrable success in raising student attainment and improving outcomes.
- Strong curriculum development experience.
- Excellent instructional leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to analyse assessment data and implement effective interventions.
- Highly organised, reflective and committed to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- High expectations of student achievement, behaviour and wellbeing.
- A positive, proactive and solution-focused approach.
