Role: Head of Inclusion

A premium British international school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia are seeking a Head of Inclusion (whole school) to join August 2025.
Position Overview:
Our client school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Inclusion to lead our inclusive education provision and initiatives across the entire school, from ages 3 to 18, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of their diverse student community.
- Spearhead Inclusive Education: Create and implement innovative programs that cater to the unique needs of our EAL and SEND students, ensuring they thrive in a vibrant learning environment.
- Empower Diverse Learners: Develop and oversee the provision schedules and support programs that enable EAL and SEND students to reach their full potential, fostering a culture of acceptance and belonging.
- Lead with Compassion: Provide guidance and support to teachers and teaching assistants, empowering them to deliver exceptional, inclusive education that celebrates the diversity of the student body.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of teaching experience in the UK or a reputable British international school.
- 1+ years’ experience as SEN/Inclusion Lead or SENCo.
- Relevant degree in Education / SEND / Inclusive Education or a related field.
- Recognised Teaching Qualification / License.
- NASENCo qualification preferred (not compulsory).
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in coordinating and managing inclusive education programs within a school setting.
- International teaching experience or experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
- Proven track record of collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Pupil Premium (PP), and other support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and the wider school community.
- Demonstrated expertise in identifying and addressing the diverse learning needs of EAL and SEND students, and implementing tailored interventions to support their academic and personal growth.
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and nurturing environment that celebrates diversity and empowers all students to reach their full potential.
