Job Title: Head of English 
Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised international certification

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience teaching the UK curriculum, with at least 1–2 years in a departmental or leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop teaching staff
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and instructional leadership
  • Commitment to inclusion, innovation, and raising student achievement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in an international or diverse setting is desirable
