REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Literature (essential)
  • Teaching qualification: B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years teaching experience in English Literature
  • Experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level English Literature
  • Experience in an international school setting (preferred)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Previous success leading an ambitious English department
  • Proven ability to inspire a love of literature and develop advanced analytical skills in students
  • Strong understanding of British curriculum standards and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learning needs
  • Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching practices
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities
