The Role
As Head of Education Quality and Outcomes, you will be the guardian of educational excellence across our prestigious group of British international schools. This strategic leadership position offers the extraordinary opportunity to shape and elevate educational standards from the foundation up, whilst ensuring the highest quality educational provision and student outcomes across multiple schools.
Key Impact Areas:
- Drive and maintain the highest standards of educational provision and student outcomes
- Provide objective oversight of teaching and learning with direct reporting to Group CEO
- Lead development and implementation of shared education vision across all schools
- Ensure alignment with British curriculum frameworks and international inspection standards
- Build comprehensive quality assurance systems and improvement processes
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the development, understanding and implementation of a shared education vision and standards across all schools in the group
- Ensure alignment with British curriculum frameworks (EYFS, National Curriculum for England, IGCSEs, A-Levels) and relevant inspection standards (e.g. BSO, COBIS)
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Education Quality Assurance Framework
Educational Quality & Improvement
- Conduct regular quality assurance reviews across schools (e.g., focus groups, learning walks, lesson observations, book scrutinies, data deep dives)
- Oversee and support school improvement planning and self-evaluation processes at school (SEF) and group level
- Benchmark school performance against international standards and comparable schools and provide insight, support and guidance on how to improve
Curriculum and Teaching & Learning
- Support schools in implementing an enriched, well-sequenced curriculum that meets and, where possible, exceeds local, national, and international expectations
- Promote research-informed pedagogy and innovation in teaching and learning
- Facilitate cross-school collaboration and professional learning communities, with tangible outcomes
- Ensure resources are deployed and used effectively
Data and Outcomes
- Monitor academic performance data across all schools, identifying trends, gaps, and intervention needs
- Collaborate with school leaders to analyse the data and focus action on areas of greatest need
- Work with school leaders to set ambitious, evidence-based student progress and attainment targets
- Provide regular, independent reports to the Group CEO and Board on education outcomes and projections
Leadership Development and Capacity Building
- Mentor and support school leaders in education leadership and quality assurance practices, requesting external support if necessary
- Identify and promote leadership talent and succession planning within the group
- Lead or coordinate internal professional development linked to performance management, teaching quality and leadership effectiveness
Compliance and External Relations
- Ensure readiness for external inspections and accreditations (e.g. BSO, COBIS, MOE)
- Represent the school group in education forums and with regulatory authorities when required
- Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and well-being practices meet or exceed local and international expectations
Required Qualifications
Essential:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS or equivalent)
- Senior leadership experience in British curriculum international schools
- Proven track record of raising education standards and outcomes
- Experience with British education inspection frameworks (e.g., BSO, Ofsted, COBIS)
Desirable:
- NPQH, NPQEL, or equivalent leadership qualification
- Experience in managing multiple schools or system-level school improvement
- Inspection trained
