We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic international school in Kazakhstan!

Position Highlights:

Key Responsibilities:
Academic Duties:
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of British Curriculum guidelines and schemes of work
• Manage curriculum delivery to challenge and interest students at all ability levels
• Plan, deliver, and assess effective lessons that encourage high performance
• Create detailed medium and short-term planning with clear differentiation for British Curriculum
• Keep up-to-date with British education curriculum developments through professional development
• Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and school initiatives
• Use digital technology to support and extend curriculum learning

Pastoral Responsibilities:
• Take a pastoral interest in students’ academic and co-curricular development
• Maintain open communication with school leadership and parents
• Uphold school behavior expectations
• Ensure student safety and welfare
• Write high-quality student performance reports
• Participate in school house system activities

Professional Expectations:
• Safeguarding and Child Protection
• Promote student welfare and safety
• Attend relevant safeguarding training
• Maintain professional standards of conduct
• Support school strategic goals
• Participate in co-curricular activities
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemistry Education
• Teaching certification
• Minimum 2 years secondary chemistry teaching experience
• Proven experience with British Curriculum
• Strong laboratory management skills
• Ability to teach across multiple ability levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in international or multicultural educational settings preferred

Additional Desirable Skills:
• Experience with Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 Chemistry curriculum
• Digital learning technology proficiency
• Extracurricular science club experience
• Special needs education awareness
• Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry
• Russian or Kazakh language skills (beneficial but not essential)
