Job Title: AP History Teacher for international school
  
Our client school in the historical and cultural city of Guangzhou is a three-year international High School delivering the AP curriculum. They are looking for an experienced AP History Teacher to join them on their centrally located campus, within easy reach of restaurants, coffee shops, and an excellent transport network. 

The ideal candidate will confidently deliver Advanced Placement courses while fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and cross-cultural understanding among the diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging AP History courses aligned with exam board requirements and standards
  • Prepare students effectively for AP examinations through structured content delivery and exam practice
  • Develop research-based assignments that enhance historical analysis skills and document interpretation abilities
  • Integrate Chinese historical perspectives where appropriate to provide students with balanced global viewpoints
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and provide regular feedback through formal and informal assessments
  • Guide students through historical research projects and extended essays
  • Collaborate with other departments to create cross-curricular learning opportunities
  • Participate in department meetings and professional development activities

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in History, Education, or related field preferred
  • Valid teaching certification with AP certification/experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience teaching AP History courses
  • Demonstrated success in AP exam preparation and student achievement
  • Native English proficiency
  • Experience in international education preferred
