Do I need international experience to apply?
No. International experience is not essential, but you will need qualified teacher status and at least two years of classroom experience.

Qualified teacher status
You will need recognised qualified teacher status as the professional foundation for the international roles we recruit.
Two years of classroom experience
A minimum of two years in the classroom gives schools evidence of established teaching practice and professional confidence.
Making your first move abroad
You do not need a previous international post to be considered. A number of the educators we place are taking their first overseas role.
Your first international move can build naturally on the experience you already have.
International readiness
Schools look for strong practice alongside the adaptability, judgement and cultural awareness needed to succeed in a new setting.
Why is UK experience valuable?
Strong experience in UK classrooms or school leadership can translate well into international education.
It demonstrates practical knowledge, professional standards and the ability to contribute to teaching, learning or leadership from the outset.
Classroom or leadership
Both strong teaching experience and UK leadership experience can be genuine assets in international recruitment.
